Interview with the French singer Lisa Mistretta

Recently, we had the opportunity to talk with Lisa Mistretta, a talented French singer. We talked about her views on Korea's influence and the effects of the country's vibrant trends in music and fashion.

To begin this interview, could you tell us a little bit more about yourself?

Hello, my name is Lisa Mistretta and I am a French Pop singer. I had the chance to participate in the show The Voice France, which was an incredible experience for me. I also had the opportunity to perform on several stages, notably opening for renowned artists in France such as Gims and Zaho. You can find me on all social media platforms and music streaming services to listen to my songs.

How do you perceive South Korea as an artist, particularly in terms of its cultural, musical, and artistic influence?

As an artist, I see Korea as an incredibly dynamic and influential country on the global cultural scene. South Korea has created a true phenomenon with K-pop, particularly with BLACKPINK, whose music I love. They also inspire me with their fashion style. I adore their approach because it’s not just about music, but also encompasses fashion, dance, and striking visual elements.

As a singer, what do you think of Korean soft power and Korea's impact on the global music scene, particularly with K-pop and other genres?

As a singer, I believe that Korea is really at the forefront of the global music scene. They have an incredible sense of trends and often know what’s going to work before everyone else. This Korean soft power is paving the way for a variety of genres, like hip-hop, and encourages enriching collaborations. I think South Korea is redefining global music and inspiring many artists.

Why did you find it important to attend the PLC x Printemps event?

I thought it was important to participate in this event because, first of all, I love fashion. As a singer, I draw a lot of inspiration from Korean culture, which has a unique and innovative approach to fashion. I also appreciate the Korean mindset, which values creativity and authenticity. This event allows me to meet interesting people, and I am always open to potential collaborations. Participating in this event is, therefore, a great opportunity to expand my network and gather more inspiration.

How do you see the evolution of the Korean artistic scene and its impact in France?

I believe that the Korean artistic community will continue to evolve and gain visibility in France. Korean artists, whether musicians, fashion designers, or filmmakers, clearly have their place in the French cultural landscape. The enthusiasm for K-pop and collaborations between French and Korean artists promote a rich cultural exchange. In short, I am convinced that the impact of the Korean artistic scene in France will only grow in the coming years.
